Navigation assistance is also available to most individuals to help overcome barriers to screening, access screening and diagnostic services, as well as initiate treatment services when needed.
Examples of barriers that may prevent you from accessing breast and cervical cancer screening include: a language barrier, lack of transportation, limited knowledge about prevention and the concept of screening, misinformation surrounding screening tests, or appointment and scheduling challenges. Staff can help assist you in overcoming these challenges as well as provide knowledge about screening services.
